Progressive & Strategic Talent Acquisition

This interview is insightful and moving to hear Lowe's VP of Talent Acquisition, Robert Daugherty, where he shares his experience, advice and proud to work with Lowe’s as an organization with authentic leaders that cares about people. How has it been to work with Lowe’s, an organization that thrived, during the pandemic? Lowe's believes in: • Taking care of its associates’ health and customers’ health • Supporting the right steps – clean stores, social distancing • Identifying how to best help the community - donates PPE • Building partnership with other companies going through furlough and be able to hire their employees What are you most proud of with Lowe’s? • Cares so much about our community, associates and customers • Takes action against social injustices and racism -- encourages and models conversations with teams to listen and understand how they feel What advice do you offer to other talent acquisition leaders? • Speak and understand what the business cares about -- speak their language • Identify what’s important to them • Be data driven • Show ROI in key metrics -- tied to strategies • Show improvement from set strategies • Layout strategy and business plan • Execute and show results, the impact on the business • Be agile to make changes, based on organizational needs -- Don’t fall in love with a plan It was a great interview with Rob and love that Lowe's leadership team is modeling the right behaviors in care for people.
